Back to the heel problem
The soreness in my heel continued for the rest of 2020 and into the ensuing year. A piece the size of a big coin on the side of the heel was hard. Especially in the center of the area it was extra hard.I did not go to the doctor. I was sure to be sent on in the system, and in a time of corona pandemic, I was sure that my little problem would not be prioritized in the public system.
Podiatrist
In late January, I visited a podiatrist. She found that it was a keratinized skin that she was pruning. It should turn out that it was not the diagnosis. When I did not notice any change, I visited her again. She had to admit this time that it was probably not a keratinized skin. She had to admit that she did not know what we were up against.
Private hospital
With the realization from the podiatrist, I went straight home and called a private hospital. It was noon on a Friday. I was offered a prior medical examination Monday morning. It could not go faster. I immediately said yes.
Operation
The doctor could not say for sure what was wrong with my heel. Whatever it was, it could be operated on and one would subsequently be able to analyze oneself until the answer. I immediately said I, and got an appointment 10 days later.
